The Seattle Ski Shuttle is an endeavor to lessen the combined carbon footprint inherent to travel to our mountain environment in an automobile designed society. By doing our part, and offering locals and visitors an alternate ride to the mountains, we hope to lessen the affect the enjoyment of our sport has on global warming. Hopefully mass transit, rail, and green rocketpacks will someday put us out of business...but until then hop on the bus!Meet The CrewGreg and Kara Whittaker
Greg and Kara (helmet heads) met ski bumming in Crested Butte, teachin' the little ones how to shred. Twelve years later the passion for skiing continues and the Seattle Ski Shuttle is born. This is Greg and Kara's second endeavor in Sustainable Tourism. Alki Kayak Tours has been operating since 2005 and offers a good summer alternative to riding in the mountains. Jason Stearns (on the right) has been hanging out with the crew in NW Mountain environs since '87 and can be found most Sundays hanging out with the bear, or Helen, at Alpental.
